Colon

Greetings Argentine Supportors!
We arrived safely in Colon today by way of a 4 hour bus ride. The town is quaint, much smaller than Parana and a beautiful city. Pastor Torres met us at the bus station and we went to eat at a great restaurant....yes I did say "eat" again! We went to their church tonight where they fed us more food....yep more food! Tonight was a night of prayer for the church. It was evident they are a church of intercession as they had us praying in groups and they prayed over our team. Please pray for health as some members of the team are feeling run down as we have had little sleep. We have a full schedule this week visiting memebers from the church who need prayer, teaching kids at the church and have parties for the children. We are all having a great time, lots of laughter, bonding and sharing of devotions and prayer. We also heard from the team in Misiones and they were going to a school to work on the clean water project. They are all doing fine as well. Thank you for your continued prayers that God will give us insight and wisdom how to best be used here in Colon. Signing off.....but not to go eat this time...finally SLEEP. Blessings to all...from Team Argentine

¡Buesnos días, a todos ustedes del plan "P.E.A.C.E." y de Colón :) I looked to see what time it was and noticed that we are in the same zone. Wow! This is helpful in knowing how to pray for you guys, for rest, strength, etc. But, there sure is a difference in the weather:) We're at 28˚ w/ last night's dew that has iced up cars and roads and you guys are at 64˚w/ some light rain. We're supposed to get up to 55˚ and it's St. Patty's day to remind us that Spring is right around the corner. Hmmm, wondering if in Colón, you guys are going Patty Green also. Anyway, :) I woke up at 5:00am, BING! And couldn't go back to sleep so I thought that the Lord wanted me to pray for you guys, His work there, and the River Children of Paraná which led me to have an interest if there might be a time difference so I could pray effectively... You know not asking God to give you energy when you need deep and restful sleep, etc :) So... I'm reading in Psalms 111 and when I got to vs 7-8 I thought you guys are doing the works of God there in "Argentina" as others, "upright" for Jesus" are doing in Rwanda and in Manchester. It's just that the part, "to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness" let me know straight up that you guys are being about the hands and feet of Jesus and that it is only His ways that stand the test of time. OK! Long post, I know, but had these thoughts before reading your post and now I see why I woke up w/ you guys in mind. So please be encouraged, you guys can stand the test with Jesus' love sustaining you and please know that it's a big thing to be about the work of God. Much joy!

"The works of his hands are faithful and just;all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness." Psalm 111:7-8

Thank you for your faithful trip updates. It is fun journeying with you in prayer thru the blog. What a blessing to hear how your team is being used by God. May God bless you and keep you!

In His Love,
Katherine

Praying for you daily - At random times throughout the day you will pop into my mind and I'll stop to pray for your entire team. As I read your blog it reminded me how difficult it is to stop and rest on these trips but rest and balance are biblical concepts. Your bodies were made with limitations, and PEACE is a long-term marathon, not a sprint! (ok, done preaching at you!) Take care of each other, soak it all in during your waking hours and give yourself permission to rest - it is all in God's hands, truly!!
