Sunday in San Pedro, Argentina
Rained pretty hard last night so early to the village was postponed as there was lighting and thunder during the night.I did not hear anything, everyone else woke up. Sleep good, not frogs…yet.
Today Cathy, Sharon and Elizabet went to the market to buy food for lunch and then they were going to meet Pastor Guellermo, Howard and me at the Gurani village. Wires got crossed and it turned out that the girls went shopping with Fernando, Pastor Howard and I went to the village to see what to expect for the rest of the week. After surveying the village, we felt pretty comfortable about installing the purifier, not so sure about the source of water. After discussing with the team, the water that they are drinking will be better if purified…..no mater where it is currently sourced. Pastor gave a short message at the church in the village, we toured the village and their houses, garden, cistern, latrine and the overall grounds.
After the tour of the village we went back to the hotel where we had Asado with our team, Elizabet, Pastor and his family, and Fernando. Great food but we almost did not have as Sharon and Cathy were left in charge of the grill while Fernando went to the store, and while he was gone, they thought it would be the perfect opportunity to go up stairs and do what ever women do. When Fernando came back he said that we were lucky the dogs had not eaten our lunch as there are a few lurking around.
Currently we are preparing for this evening at the church where we are will be part of a small group talking about the church as a family and the importance to be part of the church family and a small group.
All for now, currently not on line to post this blog but will hopefully get service tomorrow.
